To be eligible for an adjudicators licence, one must hold qualifications with one of the British Dance Council approved Teacher Organisations.

Allied Dancing Association (ADA)
Associated Board of Dance (ABD)
British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD)
International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA)
Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD)
National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD)
Northern Counties Dance Teachers Association (NCDTA)
Scottish Dance Teachers Alliance (SDTA)
United Kingdom Alliance Ltd (UKA)
Welsh Alliance of Professional Teachers of Dancing (WAPTD)(non-examining body)
To become an approved teaching organisation, one should apply to the British Dance Council office directly.
For non-championship adjudication, an adjudicator must hold an Associate qualification.
For Championship adjudication, an adjudicator must hold a Licentiate/Member or Fellowship qualification.
