British Dance Council – 2024 applications
The British Dance Council wish to issue the following announcement regarding fees for 2024.
From 1st September 2023, fees will be due for all renewal and new applications.
Freestyle status cards, will be due for renewal from 1st January 2024, these to be kept in line with the current arrangements with the ADFP.
Fees have increased for all applications from 1st September 2023.
The new accounting date 1st September 2023 for all fees except Freestyle status cards and WDC membership will be from this date. Existing rules and committees will continue in situ until further notice.
CARD PAYMENT IS NOW ACCEPTED ON THE ONLINE FORMS - BANK TO BANK DETAILS MAY BE FOUND UNDER THE "FORMS" SECTION OF THE WEBSITE IN THE “BANK TO BANK TRANSFER” TAB. CHEQUES ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTED.

If you are a new adjudicator when applying for a BDC adjudicator licence to comply with legal requirements you are required to view an on-line Equality & Unconscious Bias development programme, email the secretary to register on the programme secretary@britishdancecouncil.com
The Equality & Unconscious Bias development programme will explain the key features and provisions of equality legislation, broader equality and diversity issues and your responsibilities to comply with such.

Ballroom, Latin and Sequence for all amateur competitors above beginner grade:
The British Dance Council has no agreement with any organisation regarding amateur registration. All application forms must be signed by the applicant or parent/guardian and submitted with the fee.
All amateur competitors must be registered with the British Dance Council. You may choose to become members of any organisation, however, a Brtiish Dance Council licence registration is required to compete in all competitions and championships run under BDC rules.

Swipe cards for Freestyle competitors are being issued for all status cards, from now all competitors must be registered to enter Freestyle competitions.
Freestyle Dance school/Teacher registration - for BDC status cards you must register your school when applying for status cards. Contact the BDC office about status cards secretary@britishdancecouncil.com
(Please note: Amateur status cards and Change of School applications will be increasing to £18 each from 1st October 2022.
The Amateur status cards applied for from 1st October 2022, will be valid until 31st December 2023.)
