British Dance Council – January 2021
The British Dance Council wish to issue the following announcement regarding fees for 2021.
From 1st January 2021, Fees will be due for all new applications and Freestyle status cards, these to be kept in line with the current arrangements with the ADFP.
Fees that are due will be held at 2020 prices.
Any Championships not held but applied for in 2020, will be migrated to 2021/22
Any new Championship applications for 2021 may be made as normal at 2020 fees.
For all other licenses, no fees will be due until 1st September 2021. The new accounting date for all fees except Freestyle status cards will be from this date moving forward. Existing rules and committees will continue in situ until further notice.

PLEASE NOTE - FORMS MAY TAKE UP TO TEN DAYS TO BE PROCESSED IF COMPLETED CORRECTLY - We no longer accept Cheques
If you are a new adjudicator when applying for a BDC adjudicator licence to comply with legal requirements you are required to view an on-line Equality & Unconscious Bias development programme, email the secretary to register on the programme email@example.com
The Equality & Unconscious Bias development programme will explain the key features and provisions of equality legislation, broader equality and diversity issues and your responsibilities to comply with such.

Ballroom, Latin and Sequence for all amateur competitors above beginner grade:
The British Dance Council has no agreement with any organisation regarding amateur registration. All application forms must be signed by the applicant or parent/guardian and forwarded to the BDC with the fee.
All amateur competitors must be registered with the British Dance Council. You may choose to become members of any organisation, however, a Brtiish Dance Council licence registration is required to compete in all competitions and championships run under BDC rules.
If you are competing in professional competitions or championships in Great Britain under BDC rules it is required that you register as a professional competitor. Each partner should submit a separate application

Swipe cards for Freestyle competitors are being issued for all status cards from now all competitors must be registered to enter Freestyle competitions.
Freestyle Dance school/Teacher registration - for BDC status cards you must register your school when applying for status cards. Contact the BDC office about status cards firstname.lastname@example.org
ALL matters relating to Freestyle are governed by the BDC/ADFP Official Freestyle Rules

If you run competitions under BDC rules in accordance with BDC rule 81. You must register as an organiser/promoter with the BDC
(please note: if you have applied to run a granted BDC championship for the current year you will be registered automatically as an organiser / promoter with the BDC.)
If you are entering a formation team in an event you must register each team name separately.
