LET'S DANCE - 2ND MARCH 2025

Let’s Dance is the UK’s first national dance movement with the mission to get the nation dancing and making the health and social benefits of dance accessible to more people. 

Anglea Rippon CBE, patron of the British Dance Council is the founder & ambassador for the campaign.

Saturday 8th February saw the launch of this fantastic initiative at the London Guildhall. 

Angela Rippon CBE, patron of the BDC, is the founder and ambassador of this wonderful campaign.
On 2nd March 2025, you are invited to ‘open your doors’ to host an event and introduce people to dance. Events will be taking place nationwide to invite new people to dance and discover the health and social benefits of dancing and movement.

76th ANNUAL BRITISH DANCE COUNCIL INVENTIVE DANCE COMPETITION

Are you professionally qualified and hold a current membership of a teaching organisation with is a member of the British Dance Council? Then why not put together a 16 bar routine in Modern, Latin or Classical Sequence and enter this event?

In this special programme, you’ll find a comprehensive list of all the past winners who have graced the dance floor, their achievements a testament to their dedication and the competitive spirit that defines our sequence dance community.

Social Dance Information

There will be social dancing throughout the day with a mix of easy and popular sequence dances plus the opportunity to learn the new prize-winning dances with the arrangers.

The British Dance Council’s decision to allow qualified professionals to be partnered by a non-qualified dancer over the age of 16 years at Inventive Dance Competitions under experimental rules has been successful and is therefore to be extended. For those involved in entering these competitions please remember that dances submitted should adhere to the Classical Sequence, Ballroom and Latin American techniques as standardised by organisations affiliated with the British Dance Council

2024 BDC & WDC WORLD CONGRESS

 

This year’s Congress will take place on 25th & 26th May in the beautiful Spanish Hall of the Winter Gardens, Blackpool.

 

The theme is ‘Harmony, Unity & the Inspired Search for Excellence’ and will be depicted by a delightful selection of the greatest dancers, teachers and lecturers in the world!
